She’s temptation personified

Nathan had always been more than just my dad’s friend. I never thought he'd see me as an adult, especially not after avoiding me for so long. But one hug, one moment feeling every inch of him against me, shattered that illusion. Consequences no longer mattered—I was eighteen, and I was willing to risk everything for my shot with him.

He’s not going to resist anymore

I never should’ve seen Eve as more than my best friend’s daughter. As a cop, I knew it was wrong. It was my job to protect her from guys like me. Chasing her could cost me my career—not to mention the only family I'd ever known—but I couldn’t hold back another second. One taste, and I wanted her. To hell with the fallout.

Um, wow. Okay. The writing duo London Hale takes erotica by storm with Daddy’s Best Friend. Bringing together super alpha hero, and yummy police officer, Nathan and his best friend’s recently turned eighteen, but maybe not as naive has one thinks, Eve, in a story filled with so much heat you’ll need an industrial fan to cool yourself down.

Daddy’s Best Friend is everything I love about erotica and erotic romance. There’s scorching heat and chemistry between the leads peppered with just enough romance to make you want to swoon. Nathan is this amazing alpha cop in the vein of Tessa Bailey’s Derek. He’s this brute who knows and goes after what he wants, even if he has to fight his conscience over it. And when he finally goes after Eve? Holy. Crap. I adored Eve as well. She’s this spitfire who has gone out of her way to drive Nathan crazy and it culminates in sheer awesomeness.

I think it’s important going in to realize there is a large age gap between the characters. He’s not her father’s best friend for nothing, you know. But the great thing is that nothing happens until she’s past eighteen. Nathan may have been lusting after her before she became legal but nothing was acted upon until after. And no matter how big the gap is, it never really hurt the story. If anything, I think it helped the story along because you had the added drama and the extra oomphf.

If you’re looking for a fast, fun, and rather dirty read, Daddy’s Best Friend is definitely going to be right up your alley. It’s filled with more heat than you can shake a stick at while having enough heart that you’ll fall in love with the characters and leave wanting more of Temperance Falls. Good thing the next two books come out later this month!
